*Tree, up to 15 m tall. *Leaves ovate to oblong, 4-14 cm × 2-6 cm. *Flowers in axillary fasciles. *Fruit a depressed globose fleshy capsule, 2 cm × 3 cm, white. In mixed forest, up to 1000 m altitude.
