  • Indonesia: katuk badak, katuk endog, telor kotok (Sundanese).

Distribution

Indonesia (Java, Sumatra), the Philippines.

Uses

The fruit is edible.

Observations

  • Tree, up to 15 m tall.
  • Leaves ovate to oblong, 4-14 cm × 2-6 cm.
  • Flowers in axillary fasciles.
  • Fruit a depressed globose fleshy capsule, 2 cm × 3 cm, white.

In mixed forest, up to 1000 m altitude.
