Ancistrophyllum secundiflorum

Ancistrophyllum secundiflorum G. Mann & H. Wendl. Palmae. African tropics. The stems are cut into short lengths and are carried by the natives upon long journeys, the soft central parts being eaten after they have been properly roasted. [1]
