Distribution

Endemic in the Philippines.

Uses

The fruits are eaten raw; they are also used to flavour vegetables and fish.

Observations

• Small tree with alternate, trifoliolate leaves; leaflets elliptical.
• Flowers yellow-white.
• Fruit a globose berry, yellow, skin very thick; flesh pale, adhering to the seeds.

In primary forests at low and medium altitudes.
