Distribution

Only known from Sabah (Borneo).

Uses

The sarcotesta around the seed is edible.

Observations

  • Medium-sized tree.
  • Leaves 4-jugate.
  • Fruit an oblique-ellipsoid capsule, 3 cm × 2 cm × 1.75 cm, glabrous, fairly densely aculeate.

In secondary forest, fruiting in August.
