Distribution
Endemic to Sarawak, rather rare.
Uses
The edible fruits have a good flavour.
Observations
- Tree, up to 25 m tall, twigs ca. 10 cm thick, rugose hispid.
- Leaves elliptical, 30-50 cm × 16-25 cm, petiole 1-2 cm long.
- Fruit (syncarp), subglobose, 5 cm diameter, orange-brown; fruit stalk 5.5 cm long; fruit densely covered with 5 mm long stubby projections.
