Angelica sylvestris Linn. Umbelliferae. GROUND ASH. HOLY GHOST. WILD ANGELICA. Europe and the adjoining portions of Asia. On the lower Volga, the young stems are eaten raw by the natives. Don [1] says it is used as archangelica, but the flavor is more bitter and less grateful.
