Uses

Fruits are edible, sweet.

Observations

  • Spreading shrub, 1-3 m tall.
  • Leaves ovate, 1.5-3.5 cm × 1-2 cm.
  • Flowers white or red.
  • Fruit a berry, up to 1 cm diameter, blackish.

On hot, dry, gravelly river beds or along streams and on ridges at low altitudes, up to 450 m.
