Distribution

Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China, wild and cultivated.

Uses

The fruit is edible.

Observations

  • Tree, up to 15 m tall.
  • Leaflets 31-51.
  • Flowers white, in axillary panicles.
  • Fruit an ovoid drupe, about 1 cm long, yellowish, 5-locular.

Flowering is in May-August, fruiting in August-September.
