*Glabrous tree, up to 20 m tall. *Leaves with 3-5 leaflets. *Fruit a globose or ellipsoid berry, 2-4 cm in diameter, obscurely to densely pilose, aril white.  In primary forests, flowering mainly between April and August, fruiting between September and December.
