Distribution
Endemic in Indo-China and Thailand.
Uses
Fruits, though of inferior quality, are liked by local people.
Observations
- Tree, 35 m tall.
- Leaves obovate-oblong, 8-15 cm × 3-6 cm, coriaceous.
- Stamens 5, all fertile.
- Fruit a suboblongoid drupe, 3 cm × 1.5 cm.
In forests, flowering January-May, fruiting March-May. The species is near to extinction.
