  • Cambodia: svaay proong trang
  • Thailand: mamuang-kilen
  • Vietnam: xoai nu't.

Distribution

Endemic in Indo-China and Thailand.

Uses

Fruits, though of inferior quality, are liked by local people.

Observations

  • Tree, 35 m tall.
  • Leaves obovate-oblong, 8-15 cm × 3-6 cm, coriaceous.
  • Stamens 5, all fertile.
  • Fruit a suboblongoid drupe, 3 cm × 1.5 cm.

In forests, flowering January-May, fruiting March-May. The species is near to extinction.
