Uses

The astringent, young leaves and shoot tips are eaten raw as vegetable.

Observations

  • Shrub or small tree up to 12 m tall.
  • Leaves narrowly lanceolate, 6-11 cm × 1-3 cm, with very short petioles.

In moist places, up to 500 m altitude.
