Indo-China, China, Taiwan, Japan.

Uses

The seeds are edible. The wood is used for fuel.

Observations

  • Shrub or tree, up to 10(-20) m tall.
  • Fruit subglobose-ovoid, drupaceous, 1.5 cm × 1.2 cm, bluish-black.
  • Seed 1, ovoid.
