Distribution
Northern Laos and Vietnam.
Uses
Fruits edible, acid. For storage, the fruits are sliced and dried in the sun.
Observations
- Tree, 15-20 m tall, 40-50 cm trunk diameter.
- Leaves obovate-oblong, 16-22 cm × 8-10 cm.
- Flowers unisexual.
- Fruit a large berry, globose, 7-8 cm diameter, yellow-green, grooved.
- Seeds 8.
Flowering and fruiting during the whole year.
