Distribution
Widespread in Peninsular Malaysia, relatively rare in Borneo. It also occurs in Sumatra and Thailand.
Uses
The canes are said to be used for walkingsticks.
Observations
Usually solitary and rather weakly climbing rattan. Grows on slopes and ridges in lowland and hill dipterocarp forests.
