The cane is used for making furniture.

Observations

Robust highclimbing rattan. Stem without leafsheaths to 22 mm in diameter, with sheaths to 40 mm in diameter. Leaves large, cirrate; leafsheaths armed with slender, blackish spines; leaflets broadlanceolate. Fruit globose, to 20 mm in diameter. Endemic to the Philippines.
