Distribution
Borneo, endemic to Sarawak.
Uses
The cane is used for making walkingsticks.
Observations
A solitary shortstemmed rattan rarely growing beyond 2 m height. A very localized palm only known from the 1st Division of Sarawak, inhabiting hill slopes and ridge tops in hill dipterocarp forest at an altitude up to 600 m.
