    • Arachide is the technical name, and is the only one used for the oil. Cacahuète is the standard name for grilled or salted peanuts; cachouète is a rare variant.

    • Gennadios gives also Ἄρραχις as scientific name, and ψευδοπιστάκιον as 'semi-popular' name.
