Distribution
Wild and cultivated in Vietnam and southern China.
Uses
The acid fruits are edible.
Observations
Large tree with strong buttresses. Leaves with 7-15 pairs of leaflets. Flowers white in rather short panicles. Fruit a drupe, yellowish, 5-celled. In dense deciduous forests, in regions with short dry season at low altitudes.
