Uses
The timber is reputed to be used as kelat.
Observations
A medium-sized tree up to 31 m tall, bole up to 50 cm in diameter, bark surface scaly, brown; leaves oblong to oblong-obovate, 2-6.5 cm × 0.7-3.5 cm, with up to 15 pairs of rather distinct secondary veins, petiole up to 10 mm long; flowers in leafy terminal inflorescences, calyx with 4 small lobes; fruit unknown. S. homichlophilum occurs in primary montane rain forest and cloud forest at 1500-2700 m altitude, and is locally common.
