Vernacular names

Distribution
Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia and Java.
Uses
A decoction of the leaves is given after childbirth.
Observations
- A large scrambling shrub.
- Leaves 2-3 times palmately 3-5-foliolate, petiole 9-20 cm long, leaflets ovate to elliptical, 3.5-15 cm × 2-4.5 cm, oblique at base, long acuminate at apex, entire or with some coarse teeth above the middle, stellate-hairy when young.
- Inflorescence branches about as long as the main axis, up to 30 cm long.
- Flowers 8-14 in each umbellule, 5-6-merous.
S. heterophylla occurs in lowland to lower montane primary forest, up to 1700 m altitude.
