Distribution
Indo-China, southern China, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi and the Moluccas; possibly also in the Philippines.
Uses
Leaves are reported to be eaten.
Observations
- Tree, 5-14 m tall.
- Leaves very variable, usually ovate to oblong, 3.5-17 cm × 1-7.5 cm, 5-6 lateral veins on either side, acuminate at apex.
In dry evergreen or deciduous forest up to 600 m altitude. The species much resembles the less common C. gracilis Hook.f.
