Uses
The wood is reputed to be used as medang.
Observations
A medium-sized to fairly large tree up to 40 m tall, bole up to 110 cm in diameter, bark surface rough, peeling off in small irregular flakes, red-brown, inner bark wine-red, marbled; leaves alternate, 6-9 cm × 2-4 cm, glabrous, midrib pustular, slightly prominent on both surfaces, tertiary venation obscurely prominent on both surfaces, petiole 0.5-0.8 cm long; flowers minutely tomentose; fruit unknown. B. morobensis is found from sea-level up to 1200 m altitude.
