Uses
The stem juice is used to treat cough. The sourish fruits are edible.
Observations
- A large herb up to 300 cm tall.
- Leaves lanceolate, larger ones up to 90 cm × 13 cm.
- Inflorescence elongate, with distinct peduncle, bracts up to 4.5 cm long, persistent.
- Flowers unknown.
- Fruit narrowly fusiform, about 2.5 cm long, greenish.
A. stenocarpum is found in secondary forest.
