Distribution
Widely distributed in Peninsular Malaysia especially in the southern part. Also found in northern Sumatra.
Uses
Leaves are used for thatching and the outer part of the rachis is stripped for weaving baskets.
Observations
A clustering, thicketforming, hapaxanthic, almost stemless nonclimbing rattan. Usually found in lowland dipterocarp forest in valleys and on lower slopes.
