Distribution
Found only in the 1st and 2nd Divisions of Sarawak, occurring from 50800 m altitude.
Uses
The cane is of good quality.
Observations
Clustering, moderatesized rattan. Stems to 10 m or more. Stem without leafsheaths 710 mm in diameter, with sheaths to 18 mm in diameter. Leaves cirrate; leafsheaths possess short vestigial flagella and a conspicuous ocrea. In lowland and hill dipterocarp forest. Occasionally occurring in longhouse orchards where it is harvested.
