Distribution
Native to Sri Lanka, India, Burma (Myanmar), Indo-China, southern China and Hainan; frequently cultivated in the tropics and locally naturalized. In the Malesian region reported from Peninsular Malaysia, Java and Borneo but probably planted throughout.
