  • Indonesia: jengkol, jering, jingkol (Java)
  • Malaysia: jering, jiring (general). Burma (Myanmar): tangyin, tanyeng-pen
  • Thailand: chaniang (eastern), niang, niang-nok (peninsular).

Distribution

Bangladesh, Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java and Borneo; also cultivated locally.
