Young leaves are eaten in Indonesia. As a pasture plant, it is well accepted by cattle.

• A variable, climbing, trailing or prostrate perennial herb, up to 4 m long, with woody rhizome and slender hairy stem.
• Leaves with 3 round to lanceolate leaflets, 1-9.5 cm × 0.5-5 cm, glabrous or pubescent.

In brushwoods, plantations and forest up to 800 m altitude.
