Sources and commentaries
- French
- Panis is the name used where this species has been used for human consumption. Millet des oiseaux is more commonly used now because of its use as a bird feed. In other languages, inherited or borrowed names from Latin panicum, which was the classical name for this species, are used (panizo, painço, Pfennich). MC
- Hungarian
