Family: Celastraceae

Distribution

Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia (Sumatra), Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore.

Uses

The pulp around the seeds is edible.

Observations

  • Scandent or rarely erect shrub, or vine.
  • Fruit a globose drupe about 2 cm in diameter, 1-seeded.

Occurs in lowland forests up to 350 m altitude. Often classified in Hippocrateaceae.
