== Observations ==
*Tree, 10 m tall, 15 cm diameter trunk. *Leaves oblong, 6-12 cm long. *Flowers unisexual, small, bright red. *Fruit a flattened globose berry, about 3 cm in diameter, yellowish-red. *Seeds 5-7.  In primary forests at low altitudes, rare, flowering year round.
