Distribution
Thailand, Indo-China, Peninsular Malaysia, Java.
Uses
The fruits are edible. Fruits also used as a remedy against coughs.
Observations
- Monoecious climbing herb, up to 4-5 m length.
- Leaves entire to 3-5-lobed, 6-10 cm × 4-10 cm.
- Fruit an ellipsoid berry, 1-1.5 cm × 0.8-1.2 cm, red.
- Seeds numerous.
In hedges, thickets, scrub and forest edges, up to 1200 m altitude.
